Producer Binod Poudel, known for the success of Purna Bahadurko Sarangi, has announced the production of two new films: Purna Bahadurko Sarangi 2 and Roll No. 1.
Following the commercial success of Purna Bahadurko Sarangi, which achieved historic box office results, Paudel revealed his plans to produce two films on the same day.
On Sunday, Poudel hosted a Success Party where he made the official announcements regarding the new films. At the event, he shared his plans to bring Purna Bahadurko Sarangi 2 and Roll No. 1 to the big screen.
According to Poudel, Purna Bahadurko Sarangi 2 is scheduled for release in the year 2083 BS. However, the director for the sequel has not yet been disclosed.
Meanwhile, Roll No. 1 is set to be released in 2082 BS, with John Yojan confirmed as its director. Poudel had previously announced the production of this film a few months ago.
The original Purna Bahadurko Sarangi, which was produced with a budget of NPR 1.3 crores, has earned approximately NPR 50 crores in gross collection from Nepali box office sales alone. Additionally, it has reportedly grossed around NPR 25 to 30 crores from international markets. This collection makes it the highest-grossing Nepali film in history.
During the Success Party, a new logo for Seven Seas Cinema was also unveiled. The announcement of the new logo comes amid rumors about strained relationships among the three partners of Seven Seas Cinema. Notably, Binod Poudel is the sole producer credited for both of the announced films.
