‘Hostel 3’ Team Announces New Film ‘Bau vs Chora’, Aiming to Portray Generational Conflict on Screen

While the excitement created by the successful Nepali film Hostel 3 has yet to subside, the same creative team has announced another thought-provoking project. On Wednesday morning, the team unveiled their new film titled Bau vs Chora, which will be produced by Samman Entertainment.

According to director Sajan Kandel, the film will focus on the generational divide — highlighting the clash of values, thoughts, and behaviors between two generations. The title design used during the announcement illustrates this contrast by representing the father as part of the “X Generation” and the son as from the “Z Generation.” The design was created by Royal Bhimsen.

Writer Madhav Sharma stated that the film aims to depict the growing generational conflict in Nepali society and the harsh realities faced by today’s youth, including issues like addiction. He emphasized that the film centers not just on the physical distance between father and son, but also on the differences in mindset, behavior, perspective, and understanding of life.

Previously, Hostel 3 was written by Madhav Sharma and directed by Sajan Kandel. It had a theatrical run of 51 days. Further details regarding Bau vs Chora — including casting, the start date of filming, and its release schedule — will be announced soon, according to the production team.

Shankar Koirala is the executive producer of the film. It has been reported that the script is currently in its final stages of development.
