Directed by Yam Sherpa in his debut writing and direction, the movie ‘Karsang’ is scheduled to be released on January 26.
Set in the Sherpa community’s culture, the movie stars Dayahang Rai, debut actress Srijana Ningleku, Jitu Nepal, Diya Maskey, Buddhi Tamang, Sristi Gautam, Doma Hyolmo, Prem Lopchan, Surbir Pandit, among others.
Produced by Yarsa Films and Pusottam Pradhan Films, the cinematography is by Pusottam Pradhan, who is also the producer. Co-producer is Govind Bohra, executive producer Angchirrin Sherpa, and line producer Virendra Shahi.
The international distribution rights for the movie are handled by Hulia Events, with Suman Parajuli and Somlal Thokar taking charge. Distribution across the country will be managed by RR Films.
