‘Juna’ to Release on Magh 25

The movie ‘Juna’ is set to release on Magh 25.

Focused on combating child marriage and violence against women, the film is directed by Jeevan Century under the banner of Godawari Cinema Production and Research Center Pvt. Ltd.

The cast includes Asmita Dhakal, Krishna Prasad Dhital, Deshbhakta Khanal, Rashmi Bhatt, Kamal Bohora, Asmita Basnet, Khagendra Neupane, Bikash Anand, Indra BK, and Keshav Adhikari.

Director Century revealed that the movie promotes the slogan “Child marriage is a social crime, let’s end it.” He further stated, “Through this film, we aim to address the pressing national need to eradicate harmful practices prevalent in Nepali society, such as violence against women, child marriage, forced marriages, polygamy, rape, and the tradition of Chhaupadi.”

He added that the movie supports Nepal’s goal of ending child marriage by 2030 by highlighting issues related to women and children.

Shot in Salija Okhreni, Parbat, the film is produced by Deepak Prasad Ghimire. The story is written by Raj Bahadur Sane, with music by BB Anuragi and Ramesh Century, and lyrics by Jeevan Century and Bhim Bahadur Poudel. The songs are sung by Anju Panta, Purnakala BC, and Yadurai Lakandri, while the cinematography is handled by Rameshwar Humagai.

The film will be distributed by Apple Entertainment, Rich Entertainment, and FD Company.

‘Juna’ has already been screened for prominent figures, including former President Bidya Devi Bhandari, members of the National Assembly and House of Representatives, experts, writers, and critics.
