The announcement for a new movie titled ‘Kosedhunga’ has been made, directed by Saroj Poudel, the director of the all-time successful film ‘Purna Bahadurko Sarangi’.
The announcement was accompanied by the release of a theme poster, which showcases a woman standing and gazing at the hills against the backdrop of a misty morning.
According to the production team, the movie is slated for release in 2082 BS (2025-26 AD).
Presented by Nardevi Films, the movie is produced by Previl Kandel and Hari Mahat, with Dinesh Khadka as the executive producer.
The cinematography (DOP) will be handled by Babu Shrestha, while the editing will be done by Surendra Poudel. The music for the film will be composed by Rhythm Kandel and Ashish Aviral.
The casting director for the movie is Subal Mani Sapkota, but the production team has yet to reveal the lead cast.
Director Saroj Poudel stated, “We will disclose more details, including the storyline, cast, and nature of the film, in due time. However, we promise to deliver a movie that will win the audience’s hearts, just like ‘Purna Bahadurko Sarangi’ did.”
His previous work, ‘Purna Bahadurko Sarangi’, holds the record as the highest-grossing film in the history of the Nepali cinema industry, collecting approximately 50 crore Nepali Rupees at the box office.
Given that the director of ‘Purna Bahadurko Sarangi’ is helming this new project, ‘Koshedhunga’ is already highly anticipated by fans and critics alike.
