The first song from the movie Mummy has been released.
At an event on Monday, the song titled Ma Ta Yashai Nakkali was made public.
The song is composed by SD Yogi, with lyrics by Hark Saud and musical arrangement by Rikesh Gurung. Sung by Samikshya Adhikari and Vigyani Parajuli, the song features captivating performances by lead actresses Priyanka Karki and Diya Maskey in its video.
The choreography is by Bikram Swar, cinematography by Nishal Paudel, and editing by Tekendra Shah.
Mummy is a horror family drama that narrates the story of a family struck by a series of ominous events after their beloved pet dog dies and the daughter brings a black cat into the house. The movie portrays how these events begin to unravel the family’s unity.
The film is set to release on Magh 25 (January 8). Directed by Samar Niroula, who is making his directorial debut, the movie stars Priyanka Karki, Diya Maskey, and Sulakshan Bharti in lead roles.
Other cast members include Samip Niroula, Ghanshyam Joshi, Ayushi Dhakal, Jebis Shrestha, and Geet Bisht, among others.
The movie, presented by So Twenty Five, is jointly written by Samar Niroula and Purnima Joshi. Produced by Lok Raj Joshi and Purnima Joshi, the executive producer is Suman Koirala.
The cinematography is done by Nishal Paudel and Sharad Mahato, with editing by Suren Maharjan. Rohit Shakya contributed to the background score, Shrabal RP handled sound design, Dipesh Chaudhary worked on color grading, and SD Yogi provided music composition.
The film will be distributed by Kafiya Films within the Kathmandu Valley and by Kuver Cine Distribution outside the valley.
