The teaser of director Prashant Tamang’s film Sarang was released on Thursday via OSR Digital.
The film, set to be screened nationwide from Magh 25, features a teaser of nearly one minute, highlighting the impact of parental conflicts on children, love and sacrifice among friends, and more. The teaser beautifully portrays urban lifestyle and interpersonal relationships.
The film, written by the director himself, features performances by Richa Sharma, Utpal Jha, Sameer Mani Dixit, Suraj Tamu, Mani K. Rai, Anisha Nyaupane, Niraj Black, Bishwo Syangbo, Deepika Thapa, Suman Sagar Jung KC, and Prabhat Shrestha, alongside child actors Samrat Thapa and Aditya Karki.
Director Tamang has shared that the film addresses the realities of child psychology, child rights, and the divide between rich and poor families.
Produced under the banner of Darshan Buddha Films, the film’s producers are Prem Tamang and Phoolmaya Tamang, with Pushpa Limbu and Binu Gurung serving as co-producers.
The film’s music features the compositions of Shankar Thapa ‘Smile’ and Nakul Karki, with lyrics by Dipu Khanal and choreography by Sushma Rai. The DOP is Gopal Rai, and the film’s editing is done by Mitho D. Gurung. The film will be distributed by Station 5.
