Nepal Merchant Bankers Association Signs Partnership Agreement with AIBI in Mumbai

Kathmandu – A partnership agreement on mutual cooperation and collaboration in investment business was signed between the Nepal Merchant Bankers Association and the Association of Investment Bankers of India (AIBI) on Tuesday.

The agreement was signed during the 13th Annual Conference of the Association of Investment Bankers of India (AIBI) held at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai, India. The agreement was signed by Ramendra Rayamajhi, President of the Nepal Merchant Bankers Association, and Mahavir Lunawat, President of AIBI.

As per the agreement, there will be mutual cooperation between merchant bankers from Nepal and India in areas such as skill development, enhancement of professional capacity, establishment of ethical standards, coordination with regulatory bodies, and the development of information technology. This partnership is expected to play a significant role in capacity building and business expansion through the use of innovative investment technologies.

The signing ceremony was attended by Madhabi Puri Buch, Chairperson of SEBI; Mahavir Lunawat, President of AIBI; Ashwani Bhatia, Whole-Time Member of SEBI; Manoj Kumar, Executive Director of SEBI; Ashish Kumar Chauhan, Managing Director and CEO of NSE; and Sundararaman R., Managing Director and CEO of BSE, among others.

From the Nepal Merchant Bankers Association, President Ramendra Rayamajhi, Immediate Past President Vijay Lal Shrestha, Vice President Manish Narayan Joshi, General Secretary Nirmal Bhattarai, Treasurer Shibhant Bahadur Pandey, and members Lekhnath Pokhrel and Sandeep Karki were present at the event.
