The teaser of Laaj Sharanam has been released.
The production team unveiled the teaser today via YouTube, featuring most of the film’s main actors.
The teaser begins with a father’s prayer for his son, who is about to leave home for foreign employment, hoping he won’t face any troubles. The story progresses as the son, who had gone abroad, returns in a coffin, creating tension.
However, there seems to be a twist, as indicated by the expressions of the actors, though it is not explicitly clear. What is certain is that the son has already returned. Following this, the teaser shows a scene of rescuing a drowning person and moments of conflict.
The teaser hints that the film portrays the struggles of citizens due to poverty and unemployment. The cinematography and beautiful locations are visually appealing, while the long shots enhance the teaser’s aesthetics.
Laaj Sharanam is a film created by the team behind the comedy TV series Sakkigoni. From the writers and actors to the director, the movie features the Sakkigoni team.
The cast includes Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus), Mukunda Shrestha, Mahesh Tripathi, Vijay Baral, Aparna Thapa, Renu Yogi, Vijay Lama, Mala Limbu, and Sakkigoni actors Arjun Ghimire (Pande), Sagar Lamsal (Bale), Harish Niroula (Krakoz), Priyana Acharya (Munni), Kamalmani Nepal (Khupika Bau), among others.
The film is directed by Kumar Kattel (Jigri Bro). Laaj Sharanam is set to release on Falgun 14 (on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri).
Produced under the banner of JP Creation, the film’s producer is Navin Shrestha, with Ram Naresh Shah and Srijana Khadka serving as co-producers. The cinematography is handled by Sudip Baral.
