The trailer of the film Rangi, produced under the banner of Sanbhi Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., has been released.
The film, presented by actor Salon Basnet, had its trailer launched during an event in the capital on Friday.
The trailer showcases the love, comedy, and struggles between a father and his daughter.
The trailer begins with Salon’s wedding and the birth of his daughter. It highlights the love and struggles of father Salon Basnet for his daughter, Ayushi Dhakal.
Released via OSR Digital, the trailer also portrays the friendship between debut actress Namrata Shrestha and Ayushi, as well as the playful banter between Salon, Namrata, and Ayushi.
Some scenes in the trailer are quite emotional, especially towards the end, where Ayushi expresses her love for her father from the stage, delivering a heartfelt dialogue that touches everyone’s hearts.
Additionally, a scene showing Ayushi inside a CT scan machine suggests that she might be suffering from a serious illness.
As the film is set to release on Falgun 2 (February 14, 2025), the makers are confident that the trailer will further intrigue the audience, following the positive reception of its poster, teaser, and songs. After the trailer launch, producer Karishma KC Basnet stated that the film presents the definition of love uniquely through the father-daughter relationship.
Presenter Salon urged viewers to understand Rangi as a story of struggle and love, while director Suresh Neupane claimed that Rangi is not just a film but an emotion.
Actress Namrata mentioned that she did not feel much pressure while working on the movie, whereas child artist Ayushi expressed her confidence that the audience would love the trailer.
Directed by debutant Suresh Neupane, Rangi features Salon Basnet, Namrata Shrestha, Dilip Rayamajhi, Ayushi Dhakal, Uttam KC, Sumin Gurung, and Bishal Pahari in lead roles. According to presenter Salon, the film primarily revolves around a father-daughter story. Rangi also marks Salon’s debut as a producer.
Produced by Saksham Subedi, Karishma KC Basnet, and Anish Gautam, the film features writing by Suman Gazmer, cinematography by Saurabh Lama, and music by Durgesh Thapa, Aamesh Bhandari, and Bheem BC. Singers include Anand Karki, Aamesh Bhandari, Bheem BC, Samikshya Adhikari, and Sujata KC, with lyrics by Durgesh Thapa, Aamesh Bhandari, and Bheem BC.
The film’s editing is handled by Bande Prasad, coloring by Rajendra Moktan, and choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj and Shishir Khati. Kevalman Singh Basnet heads the production.
Rangi will be distributed by Apple Entertainment, FD, and Rich Entertainment.
