The team behind this year’s hit film Gharjwai has announced the production of a new movie. On the occasion of Basanta Panchami (Saraswati Puja), producer Janak Gharti Magar and director Anil Budha Magar officially announced the film Mitjyu.

On Monday, the team released a thematic painting poster for the film. The poster features two characters locking fists in front of a loaded van, symbolizing camaraderie. A goat is placed on top of the van, while a rooster stands on the goat’s head, hinting at elements of the story.

Following the box office success of Gharjwai, which was well-received by both audiences and critics, the same team is set to release Mitjyu on Chaitra 27, 2082 (April 10, 2026). Gharjwai was among the few films to celebrate 51 days in theaters, marking its commercial success. Mitjyu will be distributed in Nepal by RR Films.

The film will be produced under the banners of GM Movies Production and ABM Cine Production. The production team has yet to announce the cast, but producer Janak Gharti Magar stated that details about the cast and crew will be revealed soon.

Written by Mahesh Rai, Mitjyu has Dhan Bahadur Rai as the production controller. The poster was designed by Novice Arts, with painting work done by Pushpa Ale Magar.

With high expectations following the success of Gharjwai, Mitjyu is anticipated to make a strong impact in 2082.
