“Dukhi Atma” Trailer: ‘I Need a Poet, Not Poetry’

The trailer for the film Dukhi Atma, which has already captured the audience’s attention through its teaser, music, and breakup poetry, has been officially released.

The trailer was unveiled just 10 days before the film’s release.

One of the poems featured in the trailer says:

“The river asked the shore, don’t you ever feel thirsty?

The shore replied—For ages, I have been quenching my thirst with my eyes.”

This poetic excerpt hints at the film’s deeper message.

Written and directed by Dipendra Lama, Dukhi Atma is produced by Himal Koirala, with Sudip Dhakal serving as the executive producer.

The cinematography is handled by Alok Shukla, and Nimesh Shrestha is the editor.

The film features Ramji Lamichhane’s choreography and includes 10 poems by Shravan Mukarung.

The cast includes Dayahang Rai, Aanchal Sharma, Anup Bikram Shahi, Buddhi Tamang, Rear Rai, Pushkar Gurung, Kavita Ale, Aarti Acharya, Lokendra Lekhak, Aashant Sharma, Diya Maske, and Lunibha Tuladhar, among others.

Produced under the Clerk Work Creation banner, the film is set to release on Falgun 2 (Valentine’s Day).

The trailer showcases Dayahang and Aanchal’s love story, conflicts, and romantic emotions, with several dialogues designed to grab the audience’s attention.
