
Kathmandu – Renowned Nepali film editor Surendra Paudel has announced his fourth directorial venture, Barishta Balaram.
The film was officially announced on Monday, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Basanta Panchami and Saraswati Puja.
The screenplay for Barishta Balaram is written by Mahesh Dawadi, and filming is set to begin in the first week of Falgun. The film, based on a social narrative, will feature Dayahang Rai and Bijay Baral in lead roles. The production team aims to release the movie in 2082 B.S.
So far, only Dayahang and Bijay have been confirmed, while the actress opposite Dayahang has yet to be revealed. The production team has stated that they will gradually announce additional cast members and technical crew. A teaser introducing more characters is expected to be released soon.
The filming locations will include various parts of the Terai region.
Barishta Balaram will be produced under the banner of Vrishabh Siddhi Entertainment.
With high expectations from the audience, the production team believes the film’s social theme will offer both meaningful messages and entertainment.
