
The much-anticipated film Juna: Ek Byatha, set to release on Magh 25 (February 8, 2025), has unveiled its Ratyouli song, “Sali Jyu.” The song features vocals by Purnakala BC, lyrics by Bhim Bahadur Paudel, and music by BB Anuragi.
The music video, released via OSR Digital, showcases performances by Binu Karki, Asmita Basnet, and Neha Gautam.
The song presents a traditional Ratyouli dance, typically performed by women at weddings, and interestingly, one of the female dancers is dressed in a male get-up. The song, filmed in a homely courtyard setting, is portrayed in a fun and humorous manner.
Produced under the Godavari Film Production & Research Pvt. Ltd. banner, the film addresses child marriage, mismatched marriages, and violence against women. Directed by Jeevan Century and produced by Deepak Prasad Ghimire, the film stars Asmita Dhakal, Krishna Prasad Dhital, Deshbhakta Khanal, Rashmi Bhatt, Anita Basnet, Kamal Bohora, and Khagendra Neupane.
Shot in Salija Okhreni, Parbat, the film features a story by Raj Bahadur Sane, music by BB Anuragi and Ramesh Century, lyrics by Jeevan Century and Bhim Bahadur Paudel, and vocals by Anju Panta, Purnakala BC, and Yadu Rai Lakandri. The cinematography is handled by Rameshwar Humagai.
