Film Development Board Provides Scholarships for Study and Research

The Film Development Board organized a program today at Navaras Hall to provide scholarships to encourage study, research, and academic excellence in the field of cinema.

During the event, Dinesh DC, the chairman of the Film Development Board, handed over the scholarship funds to the respective colleges.

According to Chairman DC, this scholarship is awarded to students at the secondary and undergraduate levels and has been handed over through Navanidhi Dahal, the coordinator of Oscar International College, and Shishir Upreti, the principal representing Nepal Film Campus and Nepal Music School.

Although this scholarship program has been in place since 2061 BS, under Chairman DC’s tenure, the opportunity has now been extended to students aspiring to study at the secondary level as well.

Previously, scholarships were awarded to 2 PhD candidates, 10 undergraduate students, and 2 short-course students.

However, starting this year, the board has decided to provide scholarships to 3 PhD candidates, 13 undergraduate students, and 5 secondary-level students.
