Sandhya Lamichhane, a beauty queen from Basundhara, Kathmandu, has successfully won the title of Mrs. Novel Nepal 2025. In a ceremony held on Saturday afternoon at Jyapu Pragya Academy in the capital, she received the crown along with an entry package for the “Nepal Fashion and Entertainment Award 2025, Tokyo, Japan.” Sandhya clinched the top title by providing an excellent answer to a question posed by the chief judge, Ramesh Upreti.
In the event, the first runner-up was Sarvan Joshi, and the second runner-up was Rekha Bhattarai.
The responsibility of training nearly a dozen contestants for a month was carried out by the renowned award-winning fashion choreographer Himani Subba. The contestants underwent training in various areas such as personality development, communication skills, stage presentation, catwalk, presentation, and intellectual capacity enhancement.
The program started with an attractive dance performance by the contestants. This was followed by an introduction phase, a costume showcase, Top Seven, Top Five, and the final phase, which culminated in the crowning ceremony. During the intermission, choreographer Subba herself performed a special round on stage.
Various sub-title awards were also distributed at the event. Among them, Sandhya Lamichhane won the Most Intelligent award, Rekha Bhattarai received the Most Popular and Public Choice awards, Sarvan Joshi was awarded the Most Attractive title, Kalpana B.K. won the Most Smart award, Priti Khadka was named Best Photogenic, Aakansha Gajmer was awarded Best Catwalk, Sharmila Thapa won the Most Diligent award, Nirmala Chaudhary was recognized as the Most Charming, Seema Dhungana won the Most Passionate award, and Peshal Kumari Khadka was honored with the Most Confident award.
The panel of judges for the event included actor and filmmaker Ramesh Upreti, actor and model Manish Raut, Miss Nepal Idol 2019 and VJ Nima Lamuu Sherpa, Beautician Nepal 2021 Sajana Khatri, and Mrs. Himalayan Nepal 2024 Kavita Bishunkhe.
The event also featured captivating dance performances by artists. The event was organized with the aim of showcasing the potential and talents of married women, providing them with a platform to gain social recognition and enhancing their skills and abilities.
