The music video of the Nepali band ‘Jhilke and The Company’ song ‘Ramri Bahun Keti’ has been released.

Produced by Positive Vibes Entertainment Network, this video is the first release from their upcoming album.

The song features the voice, lyrics, and music of Steve Devan. The video stars Pooja Baral, a finalist of ‘Miss Nepal 2024’ and winner of ‘Mega Model Season 4,’ along with Pravesh Joshi, Prahlad Oli, and Bipula Siddhanta Joshi. The video portrays the story of a young man who, on his lover’s wedding day, receives help from the members of ‘Jhilke and The Company’ to elope with her. The video is directed by Beyond, with cinematography by Kamal Prasai and editing by Vikesh Magar.

The video satirically depicts a harsh reality in Nepali society, where families are forced to break up romantic relationships due to caste differences. At the end of the video, the bride’s father is seen secretly supporting his daughter’s love marriage.

The band claims that the song highlights the conflict between traditional thinking and modern love, as well as individual freedom, and brings attention to these issues for the new generation.

While the song starts with a light-hearted tone, it expresses deep love towards the end. The lead singer and lyricist of the band, Steve Devan, mentioned that the song and video aim to spark further discussion on normalizing inter-caste marriages and relationships in Nepal.

‘Jhilke and The Company’ includes Steve Devan (vocals and guitar), Bishal Hang Rai (bass guitar), and Dipsan KC (drums).
