The song from the movie ‘Laaj Sharanam’ has reached number one on YouTube trending.
The song, sung by Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah, entered YouTube trending within a few hours of its release.
By the time this news was prepared, the song had garnered nearly 924,000 views on YouTube. Additionally, the video has received 150,000 likes and over 12,000 comments.
The song titled ‘Nepal Has Laughed…’ features Balen’s lyrics, music, vocals, and rap. It portrays the concept of a developed Nepal while reflecting the current reality. Other artists, including Sara Khadgi, Manushi Paudel, and Krisha Khadka, also lend their voices to the chorus.
This is the first song Balen has sung since taking office as mayor. Released as a promotional track for the movie ‘Laaj Sharanam,’ it has added more hype to the film.
Earlier, ‘Laaj Sharanam’ had released the song ‘Herdai Herdai Ma…’. The film ‘Laaj Sharanam’ is created by the team behind the comedy TV series ‘Sakkigoni,’ with the writers, actors, and directors all being part of the ‘Sakkigoni’ team.
The lead role in the film is played by Sitaram Kattel ‘Dharmus,’ and it has been directed by Kumar Kattel. Other actors from the ‘Sakkigoni’ team, including Arjun Ghimire, Sagar Lamsal, Harish Niroula, Priyana Acharya, Vijay Baral, Mahesh Tripathi, Arpan Thapa, Renu Yogi, Vijay Lama, Mukunda Shrestha, and Mala Limbu, also appear in the film.
The film is produced under the banner of JPT Creations, with producer Naveen Shrestha and co-producers Ram Naresh Shah and Srijana Khadka.
‘Laaj Sharanam’ is one of the most anticipated films of the year and is set to release on the 14th of Falgun, coinciding with Mahashivaratri.
