
The pre-judging auditions for the acting reality show “Acting Star” have been completed.
More than a thousand participants submitted their videos through a digital audition to be part of “Acting Star.” Out of these, 222 participants were selected for the pre-judging auditions. On Monday, the auditions were conducted, giving all participants the opportunity to showcase their acting skills, as informed by the organizers, Mahak Media Network.
Participants came from various places across Nepal, including the Himalayas, hills, and the Terai, as well as from India’s Sikkim, Darjeeling, West Bengal, Mumbai, and Dubai. While reality shows focused on singing and dancing are already popular, the news of “Acting Star” has excited people of all ages, as mentioned by the competitors. Among the participants, some were new to acting, while others had already spent a long time in the industry. The names of the participants who will advance to the next stage will be announced in a few days, and the physical auditions will also be declared, according to the organizers.
The show will be judged by renowned acting experts: the king of acting, Nir Shah, the mentor of many successful actors, Anup Baral, and popular actress Richa Sharma. The show, which aims to bring out acting talent, will be directed by Vishal Bhandari. “Acting Star” will be broadcasted on the Apivan TV channel.
The digital rights of “Acting Star” have been acquired by OSR Digital. The winner of the show will receive a cash prize along with the opportunity to work in a feature film.
