The film Bulbul, which was released in theatres on Valentine’s Day in 2019, will now be available on the MSM app on February 14, 2025.

The film will be accessible on the MSM app across multiple platforms including mobile, Google, TV, Android, Amazon Fire Stick TV, Samsung TV, LG TV, Apple TV, Hisense TV, Video TV, Roku TV, and computers. This ensures that viewers from all walks of life can easily watch their favorite film at their convenience.

Producer Abeeral Thapa stated that after receiving overwhelming demand from both domestic and international audiences who were unable to watch Bulbul in theatres, the film is being re-released on the MSM app.

Thapa added that the transparency of the platform allows filmmakers to see where and how many people are watching the film and how much revenue is generated. This makes it easier for both filmmakers and viewers, as they can watch the film on different platforms and at their preferred time, from the comfort of their homes.

Swastima Khadka received widespread recognition for her stellar performance in this film, winning several awards, including at the SAARC Film Festival and other local festivals, as well as the National Film Award.

Director Binod Paudel also received the Best Director award for his work on Bulbul. The film represented Nepal at the 92nd Academy Awards (Oscars) and was selected at numerous other international film festivals.

The film stars actors Mukun Bhushal, Laxmi Bardewa, and Deepak Kshetri, among others. Mukun made his feature film debut with Bulbul in 2019.

The same team behind Bulbul is set to release their new film Bhutan, starring Harivansh Acharya in a lead role, which will hit theatres on 12th of Baisakh, 2082 (April 25, 2025).
