The film Rangi, produced under the banner of Sanvi Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., received positive feedback at its grand premiere held in Kathmandu on Wednesday evening. The film, which is set to release tomorrow, Friday, has garnered favorable reactions from the filmmakers who attended the premiere.
Presented by actor Salon Basnet, the film is primarily based on a father-son story. After watching the film, director Deepashree Niroula, actors Nirmal Sharma, Deepak Acharya ‘Kaku’, comedian Bharatmani Paudel, choreographer Gambhir Bisht, and director Gyanendra Deuja shared that they liked the storyline. They praised the father-son relationship, the acting performances, and the technical and directorial aspects of the film.
The film marks the directorial debut of Suresh Nyaupane. Rangi features performances from Salon Basnet, Namrata Shrestha, Dilip Rayamajhi, Ayushi Dhakal, Uttam KC, Sumin Gurung, and Vishal Pahari. Rangi is also Salon Basnet’s debut as a producer.
The film is produced by Saksham Subedi, Karishma KC Basnet, and Anish Gautam. The screenplay is by Suman Gajmer, with cinematography by Saurabh Lama, music by Durgesh Thapa, Amesh Bhandari, and Bhim Bisi, and vocals by Anand Karki, Amesh Bhandari, Bhim Bisi, Sameeksha Adhikari, and Sujata KC. The lyrics are by Durgesh Thapa, Amesh Bhandari, and Bhim Bisi, while the editing is done by Bande Prasad, color correction by Rajendra Moktan, choreography by Kabiraj Ghataraj and Shishir Khati, and production by Kevalman Singh Basnet.
