The first look of ‘Viral Gorkhe’, directed by Nigam Shrestha, has been unveiled along with the announcement of its release date.

The film’s poster, released on Friday, February 2 (on the occasion of Valentine’s Day), confirms that the movie will hit theaters on Jestha 30, next year.

One of the posters features actor Saugat Malla going live on social media after going viral. Another poster shows him in a romantic mood with actress Srishti Shrestha while also being live on social media. These visuals suggest that the film satirizes the growing obsession with viral trends in Nepal.

According to director Nigam Shrestha, the film will focus on the influence and impact of social media.

He stated, “In Nepal, the trend of doing anything to go viral is rapidly increasing. Our film is based on this phenomenon, showcasing the consequences and effects of chasing viral fame.”

Produced under the banners of The GMI Academy and Nirvana Film School, the movie features Saugat Malla, Srishti Shrestha, Buddhi Tamang, Laxmi Giri, Rajaram Poudel, and journalist Rishi Dhamala. The producers are Vishal Tamrakar, Mahesh Lamichhane, and Kewal Jung Kunwar, while Bhuvan Adhikari and Nikhil Poudel serve as co-producers.

Cinematographed by Amar Maharjan, the film has been shot in Bhujung village (Lamjung), Gorkha, and Chitwan.
