The film ‘Mayavi’, releasing tomorrow Wednesday, is expected to bring a new energy to the entire film industry, says actor Rajesh Hamal.
Hamal, who usually attends few premieres, was present at the premiere of director Diwakar Bhattarai’s film held at Kirtipur Cineplex on Wednesday.
Expressing his excitement about watching the film, Hamal entered the theater and after watching it said, “This film has everything. The storyline is touching, the use of music is excellently done, and the background music is superb. The actors have done a great job. Because of all this, I am confident that ‘Mayavi’ will make a big impact in the market.”
He further said, “This is unlike any love story I have ever seen. It is unpredictable, and you can’t guess how it will end. The story shows that the human heart can go anywhere. This love story is special.”
Hamal also praised the presentation of the film. He mentioned that he had worked with director Diwakar Bhattarai in another film, ‘Narsingha: Avatar,’ and said, “I had a certain impression of what kind of filmmaker Diwakar is. However, the making of this film is exceptional. I congratulate him for that. From the beginning to the end, the film progresses with a steady pace. I believe the audience will love this film.”
At the premiere of ‘Mayavi,’ notable personalities such as director Gyaneendra Deuja, former Miss Nepal Usha Khadgi, actors Sanisha Bhattarai, Usha Upreti, and singer Ramkrishna Dhakal were present. The main cast members Deepika Prasai, Prashant Tamrakar, Karishma Shrestha, Sushil Sitoula, Rajaram Paudel, Anshu Maharjan, and newcomer Samim Khan also attended. The lead actor Pal Shah could not attend as he was busy shooting another film in Rolpa.
Many attendees of the premiere shared that the storyline and presentation of the film left a lasting impact. Film industry professionals have commented that it’s a love story with a touching narrative.
Produced with investment from Dhurba Neuupane, Raj Katwal, and Chandra Pant, ‘Mayavi’ tells its story against the scenic backdrop of Pokhara. The film’s executive producers are Pravin Bhattarai and Karan Singh, with Raju Parajuli and Sumit Wali serving as co-producers. Additionally, Nem Maharjan is a financial backer of the film for Creative Cine Arts.
The film features Raj Vikram Thapa’s cinematography (DOP), Milan Shrestha’s editing, music by Shambhujit Baskota and SD Yogi, and choreography by Kaviraj Ghatrabaj and Pravin Singh.
In the meantime, bookings for the film have opened at multiplexes across the country. Since Monday evening, the film has received positive showings at multiplexes like QFX Chain, Wan Cinemas, Big Movies, INI, FCUBE, and others.
