
The Nepali film Feri Resham Filili, which was released on Wednesday, February 14 (Falgun 14), has been receiving excellent word-of-mouth from audiences.
Released on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, the film had a strong opening day. Following the positive audience response, the film’s cast visited various theaters to interact with viewers. Many audience members not only took selfies with the actors but also danced to the song “Feri Jaal Ma” along with them. Most viewers appreciated the film’s storyline and message, describing it as heartwarming.
Speaking to the media after receiving audience feedback, director Niroj Maharjan expressed his delight at the overwhelmingly positive response. “I made the film with a vision, and the enthusiastic reactions from both audiences and critics have been truly encouraging,” he said.
Lead actor Vinay Shrestha stated that the film had successfully entertained audiences, and the number of viewers was increasing. He mentioned that the first two days were more of a warm-up and expressed confidence that the film would attract a significant audience on Friday and Saturday. He believes the weekend will see a strong turnout.
Similarly, co-actor Kameshwar Chaurasiya (who plays the character Hariya) noted that while the audience numbers on Wednesday and Thursday were moderate, those who watched the film gave very positive feedback. He speculated that some people may not have been able to visit the theaters yet due to various reasons but expected attendance to rise steadily. “Many viewers are probably planning to watch the movie, some have already come, and others might be waiting to hear more word-of-mouth reviews. By Saturday, we expect a considerable increase in audience turnout,” he added.
Lead actress Supushpa Bhatt expressed her happiness with the audience’s positive response to her role. She shared that viewers found her performance significantly improved compared to her previous films. Overall, she believes the film is receiving great feedback and expects audience numbers to grow gradually.
The film features an ensemble cast, including Vinay Shrestha, Supushpa Bhatt, Kameshwar Chaurasiya, Nir Shah, Prakash Ghimire, Shishir Wangdel, Rabindra Jha, Laxmi Giri, Mahesh Tripathi, Evanraj Upreti, Maxim Gaudel, Prakash Dahal, and Sajan Thapa, among others.
With cinematography by Susan Prajapati, a screenplay by director Niroj Maharjan and Akash Baral, action direction by Naresh King Yogi, and music by Kali Prasad Baskota, SD Yogi, Hark Saud, Jayan J. Waiba, and Deepak Sharma, the film has been carefully crafted. The editing is done by Surendra Paudel.
Produced in collaboration between Cinema Arts and V Motion Pictures, the film’s producer is Raunak Bikram Kadel, while Suraj Bam Thakuri serves as the executive producer. Ani Thapa is the co-producer.
Directed by Niroj Maharjan, Feri Resham Filili is also written by him. The film’s poster was designed by Royal Bhimsen from Trident Concept, and its distribution is handled by Govinda Shahi’s Kafia Films and Kuber Cine Distribution.
With strong word-of-mouth and growing anticipation, the film is expected to see increasing audience engagement in the coming days.
