‘Mahabhoj’ Wraps Up Shooting—When Will It Hit Theaters?

The filming of the Nepali movie Mahabhoj, directed by Dinesh Raut, has been completed. The final phase of filming took place in Kathmandu, and the end clap for the movie was given on Friday evening. The scene for the end clap featured actors Khagendra Lamichhane and Anjana Baraily.

The filming for this movie began on Magh 8th from Ghachok in Pokhara. Director Raut stated that, out of the 35-day filming schedule, 33 days were spent in Ghachok and 2 days in Kathmandu. According to the director, Mahabhoj is based on a story about betrayal and corruption in society. The film aims to present a rebellious voice against those who play with the lives and trust of ordinary people. Mahabhoj is Raut’s eighth film.

The movie stars Aryan Sigdel, Dayahang Rai, Khagendra Lamichhane, Anjana Baraily, Gaumaya Gurung, Malika Mahat, Vasundhara Bhusal, Mohan Niroula, Buddhi Tamang, Kamalmani Nepal, Pushkar Gurung, Vinod Nyaupane, Abha Aryal, and Birendra Singh Kushwaha among others.

Produced by Himal Kadaria under the joint production of Clack Work Creation and Picture Frame, the screenplay was written by Dev Subedi. The cinematographer is Rajesh Shrestha, the editor is Nimesh Shrestha, and the sound design was done by Uttam Nyaupane. The main assistant director is Dinesh Bahadur Rawat.

Manoj Joshi is the production controller, and Bidur Manandhar is the assistant production controller. The art direction was handled by Sajan Bastakoti, the publicity design was done by Royal Bhimsen and Trident Concept, makeup by Samara Joshi, hairstyle by Saraswati Shrestha, and costume design by Ashish Paudel.

Kaphya Films and Kuber Cine Distribution will handle the distribution of the movie in Nepal. However, the release date for Mahabhoj has not yet been announced. Director Raut mentioned that he will announce the release date after choosing an appropriate time.
