The trailer of ‘Draupadi’ has been released.
The film, written and directed by Rishiraj Acharya, released a more than three-minute-long trailer this Friday, showcasing the story of the polygamy practice that exists in some parts of Nepal.
The trailer depicts the story of a woman who is forced to have a relationship with her husband’s brother while he is abroad for employment.
In the film, director Acharya himself plays the main role, paired with actress Ashwini Shahi.
The trailer shows that the story of the film is centered around Ashwini. In this film, singer Ravi Od is making his debut as an actor, and other cast members include Kaviraj Bham, Jelson Adhikari, Sujata Timilsina, Vishnu Thadrai, Prakash Ghyawali, Suraj Adhikari, and others.
The film is scheduled to be released on Chait 8 (March 22, 2025).
In ‘Draupadi’, Rishiraj Acharya and Prakash Ghyawali are the producers, and Vishnu Thadrai is the co-producer. The film features cinematography and drone work by Mohankumar Jhillu, music by Ravi Od, choreography by Vishnu Thadrai, color grading and editing by Anil Kumar Maharjan, sound design by Kovind Soni, and background score by Saurabh Sharma Basyal.
