The much-anticipated Nepali film ‘Mahabhoj,’ which has been awaited since its announcement, is set to release on the 15th of Jestha (Thursday), coinciding with Republic Day.
The filmmakers announced the release date by unveiling the first poster on Tuesday. It has been stated that the film will be released simultaneously in almost all countries where Nepali people reside, including Nepal, on the same date.
The poster, designed by Royal Bhimsen, features serious and challenging expressions of the lead actors. The background of the poster includes a design that reflects Nepali currency, symbolizing economic inequality and the influence of power. In the center of the poster, a man wearing a cap is visible, who is actor Aryan Sigdel, representing a political or administrative figure. Surrounding him are other actors such as Dayahang Rai, Khagendra Lamichhane, Anjana Baraili, Gaumaya Gurung, and Malika Mahat, with expressions of anger, pain, injustice, and struggle on their faces.
‘Mahabhoj,’ a film based on social and realistic themes, is directed by Dinesh Raut, marking his eighth film. It stars Aryan, Dayahang, Khagendra, Anjana, Gaumaya, Malika, along with actors like Vasundhara Bhusal, Mohan Niroula, Buddhi Tamang, Kamalmani Nepal, Pushkar Gurung, Binod Nyaupane, Abha Aryal, and Birendra Singh Kushwaha.
This film is a joint production by Clik Work Creations and Picture Frame, and the producer is Himal Kadharia. The screenplay was written by Suvedi. The cinematography is by Rajesh Shrestha, the editing by Nimesh Shrestha, sound design by Uttam Nyaupane, and the main assistant direction was handled by Dinesh Bahadur Rawat.
The production controller is Manoj Joshi, and the assistant production controller is Vidur Manandhar. The art direction is by Sajan Bastakoti, the publicity design is by Royal Bhimsen and Trident Concept, makeup by Samara Joshi, hair styling by Saraswati Shrestha, and costume design by Ashish Paudel. Kaphiya Films and Kuber Cine Distribution will distribute the film in Nepal.
