Sagar Khanal is set to make his big-screen acting debut in the upcoming film 11:55 (Do Not Trust Anyone), which is scheduled for release on Chaitra 8.
After a long wait, Khanal is thrilled to debut in a feature film. He claims to have put in immense effort for this opportunity. Although he has previously worked in numerous TV commercials and a few music videos, this is his first major film role.
As he stands on the brink of fulfilling his dream, Sagar feels both excitement and nervousness. His biggest concern is how the audience will perceive his performance and what kind of response he will receive.
A graduate of Oscar College, where he studied acting, Khanal expresses gratitude to the film’s production team for entrusting him with a lead role in 11:55. He recalls how the production team was pleased with his work, reinforcing their belief in him.
Looking ahead, Sagar aspires to take on more challenging roles and is actively preparing himself for future opportunities. He insists that he hasn’t felt any overwhelming pressure regarding his debut.
“I have struggled a lot to reach this point. I was somewhat prepared for this moment. I took time to get ready for my film debut; it wasn’t something that happened overnight. Since I studied acting and knew the importance of preparation, I don’t feel pressured about my debut,” Khanal shared.
However, he admits to feeling a different kind of pressure—wondering how the audience will respond to the film and how they will perceive his performance.
Regarding the film’s main characters, Sagar states that 11:55 does not revolve around just one protagonist. Instead, all the characters featured in the promotional materials—teasers, songs, posters, and trailers—play significant roles.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of this film for Sagar is the opportunity to share the screen with Mahesh Tripathi, who was his acting instructor at Oscar College.
11:55 is a crime thriller, written and directed by Keshav Pandey, marking his directorial debut. The screenplay also features contributions from MS Agraj and Shekhar Gyawali.
The film has successfully passed censorship and has been granted an adult certification by the Central Film Review Board, meaning audiences under 16 will not be permitted to watch it.
The movie boasts an impressive technical team, including Almoda Rana Uprety as the music director, Kabiraj Gahatraj as the choreographer, Dev Maharjan as the action director, Rajendra Moktan for color grading, Shailesh Shrestha for sound design and mixing, Pradyumna Mishra as the DOP, Ramsharan Uprety for cinematography, Pasang Dawa Sherpa as the editor, and Subash Raj Kafle as the production designer.
Produced under the banners of Bichitra Films and Good Job Arts, 11:55 is financed by Shyam Sharma and Saroja Sharma. The cast also features Mahesh Tripathi, Srishti Shrestha, Karishma Shrestha, MS Agraj, Buddhi Tamang, and Bishal Pahari.
MS Agraj serves as the film’s executive producer, and Kuber Cine Distribution Pvt. Ltd. will handle its distribution.
