On Chaitra 8, the film ’11:55′ (Do Not Trust Anyone), which is set to release this Friday, had its red carpet premiere show on Wednesday. The premiere, held at Big Movies City Center in Kamalpokhari, saw a strong presence of filmmakers and journalists.
Among those attending the show were former Miss Nepal and actress Malina Joshi, director Sabir Shrestha, Suvarna Thapa, Suvas Koirala, actors Aryan Adhikari, Gajit Bist, Jaikishan Basnet, director and comedian Deepak Acharya (Kaku), Babin Rai (Galphene Baje), and the team from the movie ‘Hostel 3’, which has been running since the 23rd of Fagun. After watching the film, the audience expressed that it was an outstanding crime thriller.
Actress Malina Joshi mentioned that ’11:55′ is the best crime thriller film ever made in Nepal. She praised the performances of the entire cast, especially actress Srishti Shrestha, whose acting and character won her heart. Debut director Keshav Pandey said that he had delivered an excellent crime thriller for audiences who enjoy suspenseful films.
Director Suvarna Thapa also praised debut director Pandey, mentioning how the film excelled in building tension within a confined space. He emphasized that, since only a few crime thrillers are made in Nepal, such films should be encouraged. Director and comedian Deepak Acharya (Kaku) also spoke highly of the film, noting that Mahesh Tripathi’s performance, one of the main actors in the film, had earned audience appreciation. He also complimented the work of other actors and the director.
The main cast members, including Srishti Shrestha, Mahesh Tripathi, Karishma Shrestha, and debut actor Sagar Khanal, were excited by the positive reactions at the premiere show. They expressed optimism that the audience in the theater would also enjoy the film as much as the guests at the premiere did.
Debut director Keshav Pandey shared that his long-time effort and dream had come true. “I made this film based on a big dream, and I am extremely happy to see it come to life. I am grateful to the actors I chose for bringing my story to life with their brilliant performances,” said director Pandey.
The film, a crime thriller, was written and directed by Keshav Pandey, marking his debut as a director. Along with him, MS Agraj and Shekhar Gyawali contributed to the script.
The music is composed by Almora Rana Upreti, choreography by Kabiraj Ghatraj, action direction by Dev Maharjan, color correction by Rajendra Moktan, sound design and mixing by Shailesh Shrestha, DOP by Pradyuman Mishra, cinematography by Ramsharan Upreti, editing by Pasang Dawa Sherpa, and production design by Suvas Raj Kafle.
Produced under the banners of Bichitra Films and Good Job Arts, the film is financed by Shyam Sharma and Saroj Sharma. Audiences will also see performances by Sagar, Mahesh Tripathi, Srishti Shrestha, Karishma Shrestha, MS Agraj, Buddhi Tamang, and Vishal Pahari. The executive producer of the film is MS Agraj, and the film will be distributed by Kuber Cine Distribution Pvt. Ltd.
