
The upcoming film Bhuthan, set to release on 12th of Vaishakh, is launching the “Friday Night with Happiest Man” campaign at popular tea shops and restaurants in Kathmandu every Friday.
The first event of this campaign will be held at Chiyawala in Thapathali on 8th Chaitra at 5:30 PM. At this event, visitors to the tea shop can present their own songs, poems, free verse, ghazals, and caricatures, and also review the teaser and songs of the film Bhuthan. Each week, a celebrity will be invited as the Happiest Guest.
This week, poet and journalist Rupesh Shrestha will be the special guest, who will give his presentation at the end. Three attendees will also have a chance to win tickets for the film Bhuthan through a lucky draw at the same event.
According to one of the producers of the film, Aviral Thapa, the purpose of this program is to interact directly with the audience, have a discussion about the film, and provide entertainment. Thapa also mentioned that on March 20, the United Nations celebrates International Happiness Day, and on this occasion, a “Week of Happiness” has been declared to be celebrated until 5th Vaishakh.
The film Bhuthan is based on the story of an immigrant who is unable to return to his homeland. Directed by Vinod Poudel, the film stars Harivansh Acharya, Dayahang Rai, Puja Chand, Richa Ghimire, Aditi Pyakurel, Joyash Pandey, and Hollywood actor Bruce Dern, among others.
