The official trailer of the upcoming movie ‘Basanta’, set to release on the 22nd of Chaitra, is preparing to be released this Saturday. The trailer will be unveiled at the ‘Basanta Evening’ event, which will be held at the City Square Mall in Basundhara, Kathmandu, organized by the director and actor Prakash Saput.
At the Basanta Evening event on 9th Chaitra at 4:00 PM, actress Swastima Khadka, singer and actor Prakash Saput, singer Shantishree Pariyar, Preeti Ale, and Devendra Bablhu (The Phirante) will be performing. Director, actor, and singer Prakash Saput has appealed to the well-wishers to attend and make the Basanta Evening grand and dignified.
The film, directed by Prakash Saput in his directorial debut, stars Prakash Saput, Swastima Khadka, Prabhat Pal Thakuri, Shri Shivanshi, Urmila Lamgade, Khadkabahadur Pun (Khapu), Anup Baral, Kamalmani Nepal, Prakash Ghimire, and Vishal Pahari, among others.
Presented by Galbandi Productions, this social drama film also has its story, screenplay, and music prepared by director Saput himself. The film tells the story of a poor Vishwakarma community boy’s dream and struggle to become a writer and achieve his goals. The producers of the film are Mohan Vishwakarma and Bindu Bohora, and the executive producers are Anurodh Bhattrai, Nana Thakali, and Virendra Narayan Shrestha.
The film has been shot in various locations including Baglung, Kathmandu, and different places in the Terai, which is the birthplace of director and singer Prakash Saput. The film, directed by Prakash Saput in his directorial debut, was shot by Sushan Prajapati. The film will be distributed by DCN in the Kathmandu Valley and FD Company in the regions outside the valley.
