Action-packed film ‘Karma’ will mark Bipin Karki’s first role in an action-packed character. Opposing him as the antagonist, Mukun Bhusal will be seen in a villainous role for the first time.

Although Mukun has portrayed characters in the grey zone before, ‘Karma’ will be his first full-fledged negative role. How will the film unfold when Bipin and Mukun go head-to-head? According to director Saurabh Chaudhary, it will be a must-watch experience.

Both Bipin and Mukun are stepping into new experiences with ‘Karma’, making it an eagerly awaited project for them as well. Known for their positive characters in the past, the clash between these two actors has generated anticipation among cinephiles. The film’s teaser reveals that Bipin leads the positive characters, while Mukun takes charge of the negative ones.

While the teaser showcases Bipin’s action sequences, Mukun’s action scenes will only be revealed in the trailer, as per director Chaudhary. He also mentioned that both actors have put in significant effort for their action roles.

Mukun Bhusal previously stated that ‘Karma’ is distinct in terms of story, presentation, and making compared to other Nepali films. He believes that the film will bring something fresh to the Nepali film industry.

The film stars Upasana Singh Thakuri opposite Bipin Karki. Other cast members include Mukun Bhusal, Divyadev, Sarita Giri, Ben Basnet, Sujyan Silwal, Anil Budhathoki, and Nirmal Sharma.

‘Karma’ is set for a simultaneous release in Nepal and abroad on Chaitra 29 (April 11, 2025).

Categorized as an action, drama, and suspense film, ‘Karma’ is based on a story written by director Saurabh Chaudhary himself. The international distribution rights have already been acquired by Seven Seas Cinema.

Samir Miya is responsible for the VFX, Uttam Neupane for the background score, Shahil Khan for the teaser and trailer, Bijay Bashyal for publicity design, and Rajendra Moktan for color grading. The chief assistant director is Taranath Neupane.

Presented by Artistic Entertainment, ‘Karma’ is produced by Basanta Lamsal.

Director Chaudhary’s previous film, ‘Agastya: Chapter 1’, received critical acclaim and a positive response from audiences. Expectations are high that ‘Karma’ will take Nepali cinema to a new level.
