‘Dori’ Advance Ticket Booking Opens, Film Receives ‘PG’ Certification

 Releasing this Friday, the Nepali film ‘Dori’ has officially opened its advance ticket booking. Nepal’s largest multiplex chain, QFX Cinemas, began bookings nationwide on Wednesday, with several other theaters also opening reservations. According to distributor Rohit Kattel, bookings for all theaters will be fully available by Thursday afternoon, and the total number of shows will be confirmed. He estimated that the film would secure around 120 shows across the country.

Additionally, ‘ ‘Dori’  has been granted a ‘PG’ (Parental Guidance) certificate by the Central Film Censorship Board. The film was censored on Wednesday evening, and as per the certification, children under 16 can only watch the movie under parental supervision.

Director Arun Lama stated that ‘‘Dori’  blends social themes with elements of comedy, thrill, and horror. He believes the film’s storyline connects with everyone’s life in some way, making it relatable for audiences.

Written and directed by Arun Lama, the film features Lama himself in the lead role, alongside actors Praveen Khatiwada, Shishir Bangdel, Prakash Ghimire, Anjana Baraili, Raj Poudel, Kavita Ale, Nutan, Raj Thapa, Birendra Singh Kushwaha, Sharda Adhikari, Prem Subba, Sajan Shrestha, and Rambabu Regmi.

The film is produced by Dinesh Bhattarai, with Raj Thapa as the executive producer. Manoj Pandit served as the script doctor, while Dinesh Bahadur Rawat worked as the chief assistant director. The film’s key crew members include action director Raju Tamang, music director Rajanraj Siwakoti, cinematographer Saurabh Lama, art director Roshan Diwana, editor Milan Shrestha, and colorist Renish Fago.
