The announcement has been made for the production of a new Nepali film ‘Bigul’, which is based on a social narrative. Actor Naren Khadka has been signed for the lead role in this film.

The production team recently signed a written agreement with him, officially casting him in the lead role.

The symbolic meaning of ‘Bigul’ is associated with a horn that raises the voice against injustice, which hints at the storyline of the film.

Khadka, who has worked in more than a dozen films so far, was last seen in ‘Bahr Gaun’.

Naren, who debuted as the lead actor with the film ‘Hammesha’, gained significant fame with ‘Bulaki’. With ‘Bulaki’, he won the Best Actor Award at various film festivals.

In ‘Bigul’, which carries a storyline of raising a voice against injustice, the selection of other actors, apart from Naren, is yet to be finalized. The production team is still looking for an actress to play the opposite role to Naren.

The film will be directed by Ramesh Koirala, who has previously directed ‘Leela’ and ‘Niramaya’. The screenplay for the film is written by Maunata Shrestha, and the film is presented by Kalpana Poudel.

The cinematography for the film will be handled by Shiv Dhakal.

The shooting of the film will begin on the special occasion of the Nepali New Year 2082, on Baishakh 1st, as announced by the production team.
