
The film ‘Janai Harayeko Bahun’ has been in the spotlight since its production announcement. The film is set to begin shooting at the end of Chaitra, with a 40-day shooting schedule, according to the production team.
The thematic motion poster of the film was released some time ago. ‘Janai Harayeko Bahun’ will narrate an emotional story between a mother and son, depicting the struggles a son goes through for his mother’s happiness.
The film tells the story of an ordinary person who moves from a village to the city, encountering unexpected events that bring significant changes to his life.
‘Janai Harayeko Bahun’ will be directed by Himal Nyaupane, marking his directorial debut. The film’s associate director is ‘Prem Geet 3’ actor Manish Raut.
With a fresh storyline and an intriguing title, ‘Janai Harayeko Bahun’ also boasts a strong lineup of actors. Vijay Baral has been confirmed for the lead role. The main actresses include Keki Adhikari and Miruna Magar, while Gaurav Pahari and Rear Rai have also been finalized for key roles.
Additionally, actor Sushank Mainali has joined the cast. The National Award-winning actor will be playing a major role in ‘Janai Harayeko Bahun.’
With his inclusion, Mainali is making a comeback to Nepali cinema after a long break. He has previously worked in films like ‘Sanguro’ and ‘Tallo Ghar Versus Tulke.’
Mainali stated that he chose to return to Nepali cinema after many years because he was drawn to the story, which revolves around the bonds of relationships.
The film is set to release on Bhadra 10, coinciding with the Haritalika Teej festival. Associate director Raut mentioned that Mainali’s involvement has given the film team an added boost of energy.
The screenplay, story, and dialogues of the film have been written by Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal, while Thaneshwor Gautam will be handling the music composition.
Filming will take place in Palpa and Kathmandu from Chaitra 25, following a 40-day schedule. The film is produced by Aditya Films, with Navin Gurung serving as the cinematographer.
