Trailer of the Film ‘Khel’ Released, Reflects A Mysterious Story

 The suspense-thriller Nepali film ‘Khel’ has released its trailer on YouTube. The trailer features lead actors such as Srijana Pant, Monika Thapa, Hena Nagarkoti, Nikita Acharya, Samapika Gautam, Mithila Sharma, Sarita Giri, and Bhola Raj Sapkota.

In the trailer, a teacher is seen educating students about Kathmandu’s history while also addressing themes of superstition, disease outbreaks, and black magic. It showcases ancient artworks and inscriptions. The trailer highlights both friendship and misunderstandings among the characters as they engage in games like Ludo. Actress Srijana Pant’s unusual behavior, Hena Nagarkoti’s efforts to solve a mystery, and the intriguing actions of Monika Thapa and Samapika Gautam add to the film’s suspense and thrill.

The trailer hints at problems arising from a particular game. Phrases like “A mythical legend, an age-old bond, a deadly game, friendship tainted by jealousy, and an inescapable fate” reinforce the mysterious and eerie atmosphere of the film. This suggests that along with the friends’ journey, the movie also explores the origins and history of Kathmandu Valley.

Set to release on Baisakh 12, the film blends elements of Nepali folklore, traditions, spirituality, thriller, and suspense. It follows a group of friends staying in a hostel in Kathmandu for their studies, who find themselves haunted by their terrifying past. The trailer teases the mysterious events unfolding in their lives and the challenges they must face.

‘Khel’ is co-directed by Anurag Pradhan and Aastha Shrestha and produced under the banner of Sirupate Cuts Pvt. Ltd. The producers are Luis Raj Maharjan and Ashish Raj Maharjan, with co-producers Kunal Raj Gurung and Rahish Raj Maharjan. The story is written by Ashish Raj Maharjan, while the screenplay is penned by Abhittendra and Anurag Pradhan.

The film’s cinematography is handled by Roshan Rai and Sanjay Lama, with Ashish Raj Maharjan in charge of editing. Bikal Pradhan designed the sound, Rajendra Moktan worked on color grading, Kishore Nepal handled production design, Alex Basukala designed the costumes, and Deepu Paudel was responsible for makeup. The production manager is Yam Prasad Oli. The film will be distributed by DCN, with publicity design by Trident Concept.
