
Actress Upasana Singh Thakuri has stated that she was influenced after watching the action scenes of Karma. She mentioned that she was impressed after seeing the action scenes on the set of Karma.
“I am not in an action avatar in Karma. However, the way action scenes were done in Karma, I really liked it,” says Upasana. “I have never worked in an action film before, but now I have a desire to do so.”
Although she is opposite the action hero in Karma, she clarified that she is not playing an action role in the film. However, she mentioned that after working in action films, she has developed a desire to act in them, and she is now expecting an offer from the action genre.
“I also have a desire to work in action films. I have done many other characters, but now I hope an offer comes from an action film,” says Upasana. “I am waiting for an offer from an action film.”
She also expressed confidence that offers would come from the action film industry. The influence of Saurabh Chaudhary while directing his film had an impact on Upasana. She stated that she is fully prepared for working in action films if the opportunity arises.
In Karma, Upasana is paired opposite Bipin Karki. Along with Upasana and Karki, the film also features actors like Singh Thakuri, Mukun Bhusal, Divyadev, Sarita Giri, Ben Basnet, Sujan Silwal, Anil Budhathoki, and Nirmal Sharma, among others.
The movie Karma is set to release on Chait 29, 2082 (April 2025), coinciding with the New Year 2082. It will be released simultaneously in Nepal and abroad.
Karma, made in the action genre, is also a drama and suspense film. The story of the film was written by the director Saurabh Chaudhary himself.
Karma has secured international distribution rights, which have been acquired by Seven Seas Cinema.
The film features musical direction by Bhaskar Swarn, choreography by Kabiraj Ghatrak, action direction by Shree Shrestha, and editing by Nimesh Shrestha.
The main assistant director of the film is Taranath Nyaupane, with VFX by Sameer Mia, background score by Uttam Nyaupane, teaser-trailer by Sahil Khan, publicity design by Vijay Bashyal, and color grading by Rajendra Moktan.
