The latest song, “Dai Dai Nabhan Malai,” from the upcoming film Agnidahan has been released. The duet features the voices of Parvati Jisi and Tulsi Kshetri, with music composed by Parashuram Adhikari and lyrics by Lokmani Paudel. Choreographed by Dharmendra Paudel, the song’s music video stars Anupama Bhandari, Pramila Tulachan, Rama Tripathi, Sanisha Bhattarai, Tulsi Kshetri, Sarala Kumari Pandey, and Prasina Acharya, among others.

Set against a traditional wedding backdrop, this song is a lively jhyaure (folk) style tune, often performed during Nepalese ratyoli festivities, where women sometimes dress as men in a practice called “becoming lutho.” In the video, Rama Tripathi embodies the lutho character, celebrating this unique cultural aspect from the western regions of Nepal.

The film Agnidahan, based on the novel by author and journalist Lokmani Paudel, is set to release on November 22. Directed by Ghanshyam Lamichhane, the film promises suspense and thrilling elements, exploring the belief that no person can be a “witch.” The director shared that the film is part of a national campaign to dispel misconceptions about witchcraft.

Film creator Kovidsharan Upadhyay stated that Agnidahan will also be dubbed in Maithili and Bhojpuri to reach audiences in the Terai region, and English subtitles will be provided for a wider viewership. The cast includes Prakash Ghimire, Pramila Tulachan, Mao Tse Gurung, Anupama Bhandari, Tulsi Kshetri, Bishnu Bastola, and Tarabahadur Gurung.

The film combines Lokmani Paudel’s original story, screenplay, and dialogues, with concept design by Kovidsharan Upadhyay, Parichhed Sen as the chief assistant director, production design by Shankar Pandey, cinematography by Dirgha Gurung, editing by Dirgha Khadka, and color grading by Rajendra Moktan.
