Although Usha Khadgi won the Miss Nepal crown in 2000, she took her time before making her film debut. Now, 25 years after becoming Miss Nepal, she is set to debut in the movie Narsimha: Avatar, which is scheduled to release on Jestha 9 (May 22).
There is a sense of curiosity among the audience regarding Usha’s role in the film. Meanwhile, the production team has unveiled her first look.
In the released poster, Usha is seen smiling, with a large image of Narsimha (a lion-headed deity) in the background.
Usha has expressed her excitement about the film. However, it has not been disclosed whether she plays the romantic lead opposite actor Rajesh Hamal. Usha has said that it is not the right time to reveal that detail.
Although she has previously worked with Rajesh Hamal in a music video, this is her first time sharing the screen with him in a film. She mentioned that she is very happy about the opportunity and curious to see how the audience will respond to her performance.
Directed and written by Diwakar Bhattarai, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Rajesh Hamal, Nir Shah, Raj Katuwal, Prashant Tamrakar, Saroj Khanal, Usha Khadgi, Niti Shah, Sanisha Bhattarai, and Deepa Shahi. The film is produced with investment from Deepak Dhakal, Narendra Maharjan, Dhruba Neupane, and Nem Maharjan.
