The press conference for the “Miss and Mr. Junior and Senior Idol Season 2,” organized by Sparkle Entertainment and led by CEO Nitu Kumari Shrestha, was grandly held at the Food Court of City Center, Kamaladi in the capital. During the event, the organizers shared detailed information about the competition and stated their goal to bring talented children forward at both national and international levels.
Sparkle Entertainment, founded in 2020 after the concept was developed in 2019, had previously successfully held the “Miss and Mrs. Universal” event in 2021. As a continuation of that success, Season 2 of this competition is being organized this year.
Children aged 5 to 15 years can participate in the competition. Participants will be divided into three groups based on age: Group A (5-8 years), Group B (9-12 years), and Group C (13-15 years). The registration fee for Groups A and B is set at NPR 10,000, while for Group C, the fee is also NPR 10,000. However, participants who apply before Chait 29 will receive a special discount, allowing them to participate for NPR 10,000 instead of NPR 15,000.
The training program for the competition will begin on Baishakh 6 (April 19) and will be held every Saturday at the World Trade Center in Tripureshwar. The final event is scheduled for Jestha 3 (May 17). The competition will include a talent show, beauty show, three photo shoots, a 15-19 second video presentation, and a t-shirt provided by the organizers. Participants will need to bring their own required outfits.
Rohit Shakya will be the choreographer for the event. The judging panel will consist of senior artists and journalists who are expected to conduct a fair and high-quality evaluation of the participants.
So far, 20 participants out of 40 have been confirmed, and applications are still open for the remaining spots.
The competition will be held with the collaboration of various partner organizations. Co-sponsors include Kathmandu World School, makeup partner Murarki Academy, display partner Gotha Inc., fashion education partner Center Fashion Education, voting partner Khulti, wellness care partner Blissful Wellness, and jewelry partner The Cressing Collection.
Sparkle Entertainment has expressed its belief that this competition will make a significant contribution to the development of children’s confidence, talent, and personality.
