With Friday’s Enthusiastic Opening, ‘Pitambar’ Looks Set to Revive Nepali Box-office Nationwide

With the release of the multi-starrer film Pitambar on the occasion of the New Year 2082 (April 12), the film has received excellent audience feedback, which has strengthened its word-of-mouth publicity.

The film performed with high occupancy on Friday, and by Saturday morning, crowds began to gather at the theaters. At various theaters across the country, including Kirtipur Cineplex, Big Movies, Labim Mall, BSR Gangbu, City Square, QFX Bhaktapur, and KL Tower, the audience attendance has been growing.

The film team is happy to see that Pitambar has had the opening they had hoped for. The film’s director, Krisha Chaulagain, said, “We had faith in the film, but the positive response from the audience has made us even happier.”

Similarly, actor Pradeep Khadka and actress Divya Rai Mazhi also shared that the audience’s response to Pitambar has been favorable. Other artists, including Divyadev Pant, Anup Vikram Shahi, and Pramod Agrahari, also expressed their happiness over the crowd and the feedback they received from the audience.

In Krisha Chaulagain’s directed film, the cast includes Pradeep Khadka, Dayahang Rai, Sougat Malla, Aryan Sigdel, Anup Vikram Shahi, Suraksha Pant, Gauri Malla, Ravindra Jha, Pramod Agrahari, Aryan Sigdel, Kameshwar Chaurasiya, Tika Pahadi, Sulabh Pahadi, Survir Pandit, Vishal Pahadi, Divyadev Pant, Supushpa Bhatt, Divya Rai Mazhi, Gaurav Bist, Ashish Purush, Lalit Bist, Kishor Bhatt, Binod Kumar Paudel, Narayan Kafle, and Ravindra Bhattarai.

The film also features child actors Arnav Ghimire, Prayush Datt Suvedi, Aadhya Lamichhane, Aroh Chaulagain, and Suprol Budhathoki (Anmol).

Produced by Vishal Chaulagain, the film has co-producers Aadhya Lamichhane and Aroh Chaulagain, with Suman Gautam as the executive producer. The screenplay and dialogues are by Pradeep Bhardwaj and Abhimanyu Nirvi, with DOP by Purushottam Pradhan. The film’s cinematography is by Sher Bahadur Lama and Manakrishna Maharjan, and editing and trailer by Bande Prasad. VFX is by Sameer Mia and Satyam Rana, music by Ashish Aviral and Babul Giri, and action by Himal KC.
