‘Karsang’ famed director Yam Sherpa has announced the production of a new film. He has officially announced the making of the film ‘Mirmire’.

On the occasion of New Year 2082 (Bikram Sambat), Sherpa released a theme poster and also announced that the film will be released within the same year.

Presented by Yarsa Films, the film will portray a social story set in a rural context. The theme poster features a male and a female character standing in the soft touch of the early morning sun, facing towards the rising sun.

The poster suggests that with the first rays of the sun, the characters are making plans and preparing for something new. While it hints at a new resolution with the morning light, the exact purpose of the characters and what they are trying to do is not explicitly revealed.

The film will be directed by Yam Sherpa himself. He will also be writing the story.

Nimu Sherpa and Chongwa Lama Sherpa are investing in the film, which will be distributed by RR Films.

Although the film is expected to be released in the New Year 2082, the exact release date has not been finalized.

The production team has not yet revealed the cast. Director Sherpa mentioned that details about the actors will be announced gradually in the coming days.

“Our film will be based on social themes,” said director Sherpa, “We will reveal the cast members gradually.”

Sherpa expressed his commitment to making a film that meets the expectations and desires of the audience, having learned from the shortcomings of his previous film ‘Karsang’. He also hopes that, like in ‘Karsang’, the audience will continue to support ‘Mirmire’.
