On the first day of the Nepali New Year 2082, a new film has been officially announced. Under the banner of Om Bayuputra Films Production, the film titled ‘Pushpalata’ will be produced.
Written and directed by Sunil Niure, the film will fall under the love story genre. The production team has not yet revealed the lead cast of the film. Director Niure shared that ‘Pushpalata’ will portray a unique love story, different from the typical romantic narratives currently being made.
Having previously worked as an assistant director and writer in several films, this marks Niure’s debut as a director on the big screen.
Two theme posters of the film have also been released, which clearly hint that the film is based on a romantic storyline.
Sanjog Rasailee will serve as the casting director. The lyrics will be penned by Hark Saud, and the music will be composed by Sushant Gautam, Prashant Shivakoti, and Jayan J. Waiba. Prakash Hamal will take on the role of production designer.
The film, based on a love story and family drama, is scheduled to begin shooting in Bhadra (August/September). Bonika Karki and Reet Khadka are working as costume designers.
Om Bayuputra Films Production stated that the remaining technical crew and cast members will be revealed at a later date.
