The film Laaj Sharanam has celebrated its 51st day of theatrical run. Released on the occasion of Shivaratri, on Falgun 14, the film has now completed 51 days in theaters.
The film, which began with a high number of shows, is still drawing strong audience occupancy in the available screenings. It celebrated its 51st day in 13 cinema halls.
Produced under the banner of JPT Creation, Laaj Sharanam completed its 51-day run at QFX, INI Cinemas, FCube Cinemas, Kirtipur Cineplex, BSR Movies, Ranjana Cineplex, Big Movies, and CDC Cinema in the Kathmandu Valley, as well as QFX in Birtamod (Jhapa), Dimax Cinemas in Damak, and INI Cinemas in Butwal. This information was shared by producer Naveen Shrestha.
“Our film Laaj Sharanam has entered its 51st day,” said producer Shrestha. “It is still running with strong occupancy and receiving positive feedback from the audience.”
According to the producer, the film grossed NPR 11 million (1 crore 10 lakh) on its opening day and has now collected a total gross of NPR 50 million (5 crores).
The film features Sitaram Kattel, Mahesh Tripathi, Bijaya Baral, Arjun Ghimire (Pande), Sagar Lamsal (Bale), Harish Niraula (Kakroj), Renu Yogi, and Arpan Thapa in lead roles.
Additionally, the film includes performances by Kamalmani Nepal (Khupi’s father), Mukunda Shrestha, Mala Limbu, Priyana Acharya (Munni), Babin Rai (Gulfnay Baje), and Rambhajan Kamat, among others.
Directed by Kumar Kattel, Laaj Sharanam portrays the story and struggles of the Karnali region.
The film’s cinematographer is Sudeep Baral, with Ram Naresh Shah and Srijana Khadka as co-producers.
This is the first feature film produced by the team behind the popular comedy series Sakkigoni.
