The first song from the Nepali film Ke Ghar Ke Dera: Ghar No. 2, directed by Dipendra K. Khanal, has been officially released.

The film, scheduled for theatrical release on Jestha 2, 2081 B.S. (May 15, 2024), unveiled its debut track, titled ‘Aankha’, on Tuesday.

Vocally rendered by Rikesh Gurung, the song features lyrics by Ram Aviral Bista and composition by SD Yogi. It is a lyrical ballad centered on romantic themes, visually complemented by a music video that features the film’s principal cast members, Khagendra Lamichhane and Upasana Singh Thakuri.

The video depicts the nuanced emotional connection between the characters, particularly as conveyed through eye contact, incorporating select narrative footage from the film itself to further contextualize the storyline.

Ke Ghar Ke Dera: Ghar No. 2 is categorized as a social drama. The screenplay has been authored by Buddhisagar, a prominent contemporary Nepali novelist, best known for works such as Karnali Blues, Eklo, and Phirphire. This project marks his first venture into screenwriting.

The ensemble cast includes well-known figures in Nepali cinema such as Khagendra Lamichhane, Nischal Basnet, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Aryan Sigdel, Keki Adhikari, Prakash Ghimire, Srijana Napit, Sanjog Rasaily, Rubina Ghimire, and Suraj Bista, among others.

The film is produced under a collaborative banner involving Apple Entertainment, A Plus Entertainment, and Natraj Creation. The cinematography is handled by Krishna Bahadur Thapa, while the producers are Nakim Uddin, Sharad Shrestha, and Kiran Maharjan. Yuvraj Karki serves as the executive producer.
