The song Aye Thuli from the upcoming film Jaar has been officially released on YouTube.

Featuring vocals by Jhuma Limbu and Pawan Giri, the track blends heartfelt lyrics by Hark Saud with traditional folk-inspired music composed by Jhuma Limbu herself.

Set in a folk rhythm, the song captures the emotional nuances of romantic longing. It tells the story of a woman waiting for her beloved who is away serving as a Lahure—a Nepali soldier working abroad. Through poetic imagery, the song conveys her tender concerns as she imagines him braving harsh weather and difficult terrain, while she remains at home, eyes fixed on the path he may return from. On the other side, the soldier reflects on his love for her, finding completeness in the memory of his beloved in the village.

The song hints at the broader narrative of the film, which revolves around the life and love of a Lahure. Jaar is slated for theatrical release on Baisakh 26 (May 8).

The music video features lead actors Saugat Malla and Geetanjali Thapa, among others, and vividly depicts rural Nepali life.

Set in the 1800s, Jaar is inspired by real historical events in Nepali society and is adapted from a story by acclaimed writer Indra Bahadur Rai. According to director Phurwa Chhiring Lama, the film is based on a story that is over 225 years old, making it a powerful narrative rooted in history and tradition.

Produced by Fairy Tale Pictures, Jaar addresses social themes while offering a complete cinematic package, according to Lama. He is confident the film will resonate with audiences.

The cast includes Saugat Malla, Anup Bikram Shahi, and Geetanjali Thapa in lead roles. The film is a collaborative production between Hope Reels, LA Seven Shorts, Baral Studio, and Kewa Production, with filming conducted in Sikkim.

Executive producers for Jaar include Trilochan Pandey, Niraj Rai, Nursang Bhutia, Jyoti Kshetri, and Pema Rinzin Lepcha. Cinematography is by Saravanan Elavarasu, with editing by Akhilesh Rai and music by Jhuma Limbu and Ganga Thapa.

The production team has confirmed that Jaar will be released simultaneously in Nepal, India, and international markets. Domestic distribution will be handled by Apple Entertainment, Reach Entertainment, and FD Company, while Seven Seas Cinema will manage international distribution.
