Nominees for ‘Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival 2025’ Announced

The Jinseyo Arigato International Film Festival 2025 will be held on May 25. Yuna Entertainment, which has been distributing Nepali films in Japan, is participating in this festival for the first time.

The organizers have publicly released the list of nominees from Nepal for the festival. In the Action category, three individuals from the film Pitamber have been nominated. These include Best Actor Sougat Mall, Breakthrough Performance Anup Vikram Shahi, and Best Director Krisha Chaulagain.

In the Drama category, actor Bipin Karki from the film Tel Bhisa has been nominated, while actress Barsha Raut has been nominated for Best Actress. Additionally, from the film Rangi, Saloon Basnet has been nominated for Best Actor, and the film has also been nominated for Best Drama Film.

Films from various countries will be featured at the festival. Yuna Entertainment, which has been distributing Nepali films in Japan, is organizing this festival to expand the market for Nepali films.

Yuna Entertainment’s chief, Ujjwal Guragai, spoke about the festival, saying, “This festival has been organized to further expand the market for Nepali films. We believe it will help take Nepali films to an international level.”

He added, “It is an honor for us to bring Nepali films to international platforms like Japan with respect. This is just the beginning. We will continue to move forward with firm determination to make Nepali stories global. It is with the support, trust, and love of Nepali film lovers that we have reached this point today.”

According to him, this festival will be a historic success for Nepali films. Yuna Entertainment and Ujjwal Guragai have been leading efforts to acquire the rights for Nepali films and promote them in Japan.

The award ceremony for the festival will take place on May 25, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the Menican Arts and Culture Memorial Foundation (Main Theatre Aoi) in Nagoya, Japan.
