
The Nepali film ‘Shivansh’ has been officially announced. The production team released the first look on Wednesday and announced the making of ‘Shivansh: Chapter 1’.
Under the banner of Anjan Cinema Production House, the film will be directed by Santosh Kumar Atrey. This will be his directorial debut.
The film will star Praveen Khatiwada, Tej Giri, and Rusha Neupane in lead roles, while Vikas Joshi, Bimala Limbu, Pradeep Kumar Chaudhary, Sabir Churaute, Uday Kumar Subba, and Tika Nirola will also appear.
The story of the film is written by Anjan KC, who is also the producer. Co-producers are Shobha Bhandari and Anis KC Bogati. The screenplay has been prepared by Bharat Limbu.
In the released poster, lead actor Praveen Khatiwada is seen bound by iron chains. With only half his face visible, the image suggests he is under the control of an antagonist. The poster shows a burning village in front of a lone figure, indicating that the film is based on a power struggle. However, the production team has not revealed further details about the plot.
The film will feature music by Nhyoo Bajracharya and Rajanraj Shiwakoti. Lyrics are written by Rajanraj Shiwakoti and Biplav Pratik. Vocals will be provided by Rajanraj Shiwakoti, Milan Newar, and Samikshya Adhikari.
Action direction will be handled by Milan Shrestha, and choreography by Vikram Chauhan. Cinematography will be by Sharad Mahato. Bharat Limbu is the chief assistant director. Sulakshan Bharti is the script doctor, and Shambhu Thapa is the executive producer.
Viraj Khadka is the VFX director and supervisor, while Aadesh Subba is the VFX producer. Costumes will be designed by Kamal Mishra, and makeup will be done by artist Tulsa Limbu.
Poster photography is by Yuwahang Rai, and Pratik Chaudhary serves as both art director and production designer. Milan Manandhar is the production manager.
‘Shivansh: Chapter 1’ is scheduled to release nationwide on Ashoj 24. Post-production work will be handled by Film Chautari, and the distribution will be managed by Digital Cinema Nepal (DCN).
