5.7 Kgs of Gold Seized from Three Foreign Nationals at Kathmandu Airport

Three foreign nationals have been arrested with 5 kilograms and 700 grams of gold.

The individuals arrested include Jianzhong from China, and Sathaninetung and In Nong Fu from Myanmar.

They arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday evening via Air Arabia flight number G9530 from Sharjah.

During a recheck at the Tribhuvan International Airport’s customs area, gold was found hidden inside 12 speakers in their luggage.

According to DSP Shailendra Thapa of the Armed Police, the three individuals have been taken into custody for further investigation at the Tribhuvan International Airport Customs Office.
