Patrick Subedi (Pratik) and Ramesh Dhakal from Seven Seas International, a distributor of Nepali films in the diaspora, are set to produce the film Chule Nimto.
On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the production of the film was announced on Wednesday by unveiling a theme poster.
The poster is designed in the style of a wedding invitation card.
The film will be directed by Deepak Wali.
The script has been written by Mahesh Dawadi.
While announcing the film on social media, director Wali wrote:
“Stories bloom in the soil, ripen in the soil, and the stories that have blossomed and borne fruit in the soil bring a deep fragrance to those of us who haven’t forgotten our roots. Chule Nimto is one such story of the soil—it tells our story, in our own way, and tells it with hearty, belly-holding laughter.”
The film’s shooting is scheduled to begin after the upcoming Tihar festival.
Chule Nimto will be made in the comedy genre.
